Tyler Breeze says he’d love to be part of a storyline with one of WWE’s biggest rising stars.
Breeze recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard while promoting the WWE 2K26 video game. During the conversation, Breeze spoke about balancing his in-ring career with outside interests, like his work on the UpUpDownDown video game channel.
Breeze, a former NXT Tag Team Champion, highlighted how important video games are to his generation of wrestlers. He pointed out that video games were looked down on years ago, but now it has allowed fans to see a new side of their favorite wrestlers.
“Now, video games are a lot about the community; it’s about the interaction. So, a lot of these people, 2K brings it together to where you meet people by playing the game. For me personally, me and Xavier Woods, best of friends, playing games brought us even closer,” he shared. “[We] created UpUpDownDown to where now, that made a bunch more people come together over at UpUpDownDown. The whole point of video games to us and why they’re so important is because you get to see another side of people.
“You saw Tyler Breeze in the ring, but [the channel] showed you who the real person was,” he continued. “And that, for the most part, there’s been a lot of people who they like that person as well as, the person I am in the ring. So, getting both of those sides, and you get that with a lot of wrestlers that get to be on Up Up Down Down. You finally get to see more of that person to where you really appreciate who they are outside.”
Tyler Breeze wants to work with (or against) Kit Wilson
Tyler Breeze has not wrestled full-time for WWE in several years, but he continues to wrestle on the indies and made a surprise return at NXT Homecoming against Ethan Page. Breeze says there’s always an idea of newer WWE stars he’d like to work with, noting that SmackDown breakout star Kit Wilson is at the top of his list right now.
“I think right now the big guy would be probably Kit Wilson. I love what he’s doing. I’d love to be a part of it,” Tyler Breeze said. “I would love to be against him. I’d love to be his partner. The Pretty Deadly guys, they’re always up there for me. And I know that a couple of pitches have gone in. So, it’s just a matter of, you know, right place, right time.”
Breeze closed by sharing his views on Wilson’s “toxic masculinity” campaign, simply noting that he stands with and supports Kit.
