Logan Paul has finally spoken about the Je’Von Evans botch during the Men’s Elimination Chamber match that got fans talking.
Paul gave a career-highlight-worthy performance in the Chamber match. He eliminated LA Knight, Evans, and Trick Williams.
However, it was Evans’ elimination that made headlines and concern as the young wrestler seemed to land awkwardly. The social media star-turned-wrestler faced criticism after hitting the Paulverizer on Evans, as many felt the move looked dangerously close to dropping Evans on his head.
Logan Paul Comments on the Je’Von Evans Spot at Elimination Chamber
Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, Paul responded directly to the backlash. When his co-host, Mike Majlak, pointed out that many believe that his move “almost killed” Je’Von Evans, Paul sounded surprised by the criticism. “What the f*ck? What the frick?” Paul exclaimed.
He also reminded listeners that he has supported Evans for a long time. “Hey, hold on, that’s so crazy. Je’Von Evans, new kid, up and comer. I’m the first one to support the kid. I got a tweet dating a couple years ago. I said, ‘Je’Von Evans is the future,’” Paul said.
Paul strongly denied that he put the young WWE star in danger. Moreover, he indirectly suggested that if anything went wrong, it was likely because Evans forgot how to flip.
“That’s not what I was doing bro. I’m gonna say this- The kid is one of the best flippers in the WWE but all of a sudden, when it comes time to flip with me, he can’t do it. He can’t flip. Nothing happened bro. He got f*cking got. He got Paulverized. He got Paulverized, he got pinned. Nothing happened. He’s fine. Buddy chalks it up, put some ice on the neck. Do a better flip next time and get going,” Paul said.
The Chamber match itself contained severe chaos beyond that one moment. Seth Rollins emerged as the masked attacker who had been targeting The Vision. Moreover, he curb-stomped Paul, which led to his elimination. Drew McIntyre also interfered with Cody Rhodes, which eventually helped Randy Orton to take advantage and win the match.
