This AEW star has a very specific wish when it comes to scars.
Appearing on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, former AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander shared her thoughts on the Women’s Blood and Guts match that took place on the November 12, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Host Chris Van Vliet referenced several graphic photos Statlander posted on social media following the match. The image showed her back and face lacerated from the cuts and bruises she suffered during the bout.
“Yeah, I think I still have some scars on my lower back from it, but I like scars,” Kris Statlander said. “So I was like, yes! I think they’re cool. I’ve been dying to get a face scar. Have something happen. Get a nice, cool face scar. That’s my wish. That’s my dream.”
Kris Statlander on the light tube spot at AEW Dynamite Blood and Guts
Earlier in the interview, Van Vliet also brought up the light tube spot from AEW Dynamite Blood and Guts. When asked if it was her first time being hit with a light tube, Statlander replied in the affirmative before discussing the thumbtack spot.
“Yes, actually, yeah. And it was not as bad as I thought. It did kind of burn a little bit. There’s a lot of things in wrestling that don’t look very fun. Obviously, I’m sure the other spot you’re thinking of is the splits on the thumbtacks. I will say I was thinking about that for months. I had that spot in my head for months. I wanted to do it so bad, and it really wasn’t that bad, because it was mostly my thigh. So we’re good.”
Statlander returned to action at the AEW Collision taping last week. She joined forces with Thunder Rosa to face Sisters of Sin, consisting of Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Fans can check out WrestleZone’s full coverage of Collision here.
