WATCH: Randy Orton Breaks Character Mid-Match After LA Knight Botch at WWE Elimination Chamber

The 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber was full of wild moments, unmasking drama, and a minor botch from LA Knight as well, which made Randy Orton break character mid-match.

At one point, LA Knight was building momentum and went for his signature “LA Knight” taunt before trying to hit a high elbow drop on Orton, who was lying on the ring. Knight climbed the turnbuckle backward to set up the move. But as he got ready to jump, his right foot slipped off the ropes.

He had to stop the move mid-action immediately and adjust. Luckily, he landed on his feet and wasn’t hurt, but the moment looked a little awkward. He then managed to overcome the unfortunate moment with a normal elbow drop on Orton.

The botch drew heavy reactions online. But what really made the clip go viral, though, was Orton’s reaction.

Randy Orton Shares Candid Moment After LA Knight In-Ring Mishap

In a fan video shared on social media, Orton can be seen laughing right after the slip. The Viper usually keeps a serious, focused look during matches. But this time, he couldn’t seem to hold it in.

Orton looked at his daughter in the crowd and started laughing. In that moment, he looked like he was just enjoying the situation instead of staying in character.

Moreover, LA Knight himself has handled his botch with humor. After a fan shared the video and joked about it and reshared it on Instagram Story, saying, “Haha it happens. Yet even if I fall, I land on my feet.”

Randy Orton ended up winning the 2026 Elimination Chamber match with a bit of help from Drew McIntyre’s distraction. Meanwhile, Logan Paul eliminated Knight after hitting him with a low blow.

Cody Rhodes may have lost, but he is still in the title picture. Nick Aldis later gave Rhodes a championship opportunity on WWE SmackDown, saying McIntyre’s interference played a role.

As for Orton, he said he doesn’t really care how the win happened. A victory is a victory.
