Did Tiffany Stratton pay tribute to a WWE legend with her ring gear? That’s what some online wrestling fans believe.
On the February 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton picked up a win against Kairi Sane. However, more than her victory, Stratton’s ring gear ignited a wave of fan discussion on social media. She sported a sparkling pink top featuring a prominent cross emblem.
Tiffany Stratton’s attire sparked some nostalgia among the fans on social media, as it bore a striking resemblance to WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool‘s gear from the Ruthless Aggression Era. McCool frequently incorporated a cross motif on her gear at the time. While Stratton hasn’t confirmed anything, people were quick to draw parallels when a wrestling fan account posted a picture of Stratton on X/Twitter with the caption, “Are y’all seeing what I’m seeing?”
The post has since gone viral, and fans are speculating whether it was an intentional tribute from Tiffany Stratton or just a pure coincidence.
“Why is she wearing Michelle McCool’s attire?” one fan asked.
“Michelle McCool has always been one of my favorites, love the subtle nod to her,” another fan said.
“Dudes see a cross and say that no one else can wear a cross?” a fan argued.
Tiffany Stratton will be in action later tonight as she’s one of the competitors in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. It will be interesting to see if she can emerge victorious and go on to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.
