Cody Rhodes Doesn’t Need His Feelings Protected In WWE For A Valid Reason

Cody Rhodes has reacted to a viral comment about needing to protect his feelings in WWE.

Appearing on a recent episode of Mostly Sports With Brandon Walker, The American Nightmare addressed a remark from his friend Kazeem about the need to “protect” his feelings in the presence of Roman Reigns.

Rhodes made it clear that he required no such protection, citing his financial standing with WWE as the primary reason for his self-confidence.

“My friend Kazeem, he had said something about protecting my feelings whenever Roman is around. I thought — and this is going to sound really.. you’re not going to love this but I don’t need them protected. I’ve seen the balance sheet. I’m good on what the company has done with me and him and we’re good,” he said.

Cody Rhodes on viral WWE SmackDown promo

Elsewhere in the interview, Cody Rhodes stood by his viral WWE SmackDown promo, which made the Raheem meme canon in WWE lore.

“I can’t really give you the thoughts on the [d*ck] measuring contest other than I said what I said. Not taking it back. Said what I said and fully in my belief in what I said.” [WrestlingNews.co]

This wasn’t the only noteworthy moment from Rhodes’ conversation with Brandon Walker, as The American Nightmare also called out today’s pro wrestlers for being too sensitive. Fans can read his full comments here.
