Bayley has opened up about her initial reaction to her popular WWE pairing with Lyra Valkyria.
During a recent appearance on No-Contest Wrestling, the former WWE Women’s Champion recounted her experience teaming with Valkyria.
Bayley admitted she initially questioned the pairing. However, a night out together helped put things into perspective, and the two ultimately formed a close bond.
“She is incredible. We kind of just got thrown into this tag team last year before Mania and I was like, ‘This is weird, I don’t know this girl, like genuinely why are we doing this?’ And then we hung out one night and I was like, ‘Oh, she’s amazing.’ She’s hilarious, she’s a sweet person and she loves wrestling on a different level, weirdly like I do, so that was just natural.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
Lyra Valkyria received hilarious Christmas present from Bayley
After failing to win the Women’s Elimination Chamber in 2025, Bayley found herself in contention for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Standing opposite her as champion was Lyra Valkyria, the very woman Bayley had defeated to qualify for the Chamber match.
Bayley and Valkyria crossed paths on numerous occasions, including challenging Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title in a critically acclaimed triple threat match at WWE Evolution 2 in the summer of 2025.
The RAW Superstars have since kept fans entertained both on and off screen. In December, Valkyria received a cardboard cutout of Bayley as a Christmas present from the Role Model herself, further showcasing the bond between the pair.
Bayley shares hilarious reason for breaking up with Lyra Valkyria
Ahead of RAW this past Monday, Bayley shared a funny WhatsApp conversation with Valkyria in which she expressed shock that her tag team partner confused Adam Sandler with other comedy actors.
Bayley also questioned Valkyria’s claim that she had watched 50 First Dates, starring Sandler and Drew Barrymore, prompting the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion to run out of words by the end of their text messages.
Lyra Valkyria failed to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber on the February 16 episode of WWE RAW.
