WATCH: Killer Kross Speechless After WWE’s Paul Heyman Texts Him During Interview

When an ex-WWE Superstar gets a text from Paul Heyman during an interview, people are going to notice. That’s what happened to Killer Kross.

Kross, who WWE fans also know as Karrion Kross, had a rollercoaster ride in WWE. In NXT, he was dominant as NXT Champion, with his wife and manager Scarlett Bordeaux by his side. But when he moved to the main roster in 2021 under Vince McMahon’s leadership, things didn’t go as planned. He lost his first RAW match to Jeff Hardy and by November 2021, he was released.

He returned in 2022 under Triple H’s direction and later joined The Final Testament group. He even wrestled at WrestleMania 40 and slowly rebuilt momentum. During WrestleMania 41 week, he cut a promo about creative frustrations that really connected with fans.

Kross has been busy since leaving WWE in August 2025. His contract ended shortly after SummerSlam, where he lost to Sami Zayn. He also lost to Zayn once before in Saudi Arabia. After those back-to-back losses, he exited the company.

Paul Heyman Reaches Out to Killer Kross Mid-Interview

During a recent interview with Monopoly Events, Kross was talking with host Jamal Niaz about life after WWE and what he wants to do next. In the middle of the chat, he kept glancing at his phone. At first, it seemed like a small distraction until Niaz saw who had texted him.

Kross permitted him to share the name, and Niaz revealed it was Paul Heyman. That instantly changed the vibe. Kross wouldn’t say what the message was about, though. He just smiled and kept things mysterious. “What was the other question?” he asked, successfully skipping the whole interrogation.

Before the interview ended, Niaz asked the big question- could Kross return to WWE? Kross didn’t confirm anything, but he didn’t shut it down either. He possibly hinted that something big happening in the future isn’t “out of the question.”
