Cody Rhodes is heading into this Saturday’s Elimination Chamber with one clear objective — and one specific Superstar already in his sights.
Rhodes is set to compete in the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber match on February 28. The winner earns a shot at Drew McIntyre’s Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
The field includes Randy Orton, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Jey Uso — a mix of proven main event names and rising stars.
While Rhodes’ ultimate goal is a championship rematch, he has already circled one name inside the structure.
Cody Rhodes Names The Superstar He Most Wants To Eliminate
Appearing on ESPN’s First Take, Rhodes revealed that the competitor he most wants to eliminate is Trick Williams.
“I already eliminated him from the Royal Rumble so I want to go two-for-two and that would be Trick Williams,” Rhodes said. “Just because he is clearly a massive breakout star for us and he’s incredibly entertaining with his Lemon Pepper Steppers and all this stuff. I hope he makes it here at some point but not yet.”
Williams qualified for the Chamber on February 20 by defeating Carmelo Hayes and Damian Priest. Cody Rhodes secured his spot a week earlier, winning a triple threat match against Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn.
Rhodes, currently listed as the betting favorite, is once again chasing WrestleMania rather than walking in as champion.
Beyond targeting Williams, Rhodes has also made it clear he wants to “close the loop” with McIntyre. But before he can point at the WrestleMania sign, he must survive five other competitors inside one of WWE’s most punishing structures.
If Rhodes wants to go two-for-two, he’ll have to strike fast. Because inside the Chamber, hesitation can lock you out just as quickly as the chamber locks you in.
