Former WWE Star Chokeslams Critic Through A Table For A Good Cause

A former WWE star dealt with a critic with a chokeslam through a table at a recent fundraiser event.

Former WWE and TNA star Matt Morgan took to X/Twitter to share a video of himself from a live telethon fundraiser, organized by Leadership Seminole to raise support for Recovery House of Central Florida, Inc. He shared his testimony of how he overcame his opioid addiction 20 years ago during the event before he was interrupted by someone in what appears to be a planned skit.

The person went on to criticize both organizations and provoked Matt Morgan by poking him in the chest and calling him an “idiot, meathead, professional wrestler.” He then slapped Morgan, which led the former WWE star to respond by grabbing him by the throat and hilariously saying, “So, on behalf of Leadership Seminole Class 35 and Recovery House of Central Florida, especially them, we would like to donate to you a brand new table!” before chokeslamming him through a table.

The former WWE star asked people to donate to the cause

In his tweet, Matt Morgan hilariously described the encounter. The former WWE star then asked people to consider donating to the fundraiser to support the Recovery House of Central Florida, so the organization can continue to help young males overcome their addictions.

“After sharing my testimonial of how I overcame my opioid addiction (20 years ago this April) at Leadership Seminole’s fundraising telethon for Recovery House of Central Florida, Inc., I get interrupted live on the air, by someone putting both of those two amazing organizations down. ‘Tell him what he’s won Bob!’

“But in all seriousness, please help contribute if you can to this very impressive fundraiser led by Leadership Seminole class 35 for The Recovery House of Central Florida! The Help they give to young males like myself at the time 20 years ago, the treatment they need to beat their addiction and save lives is VERY NEEDED! Please!” the former WWE star posted.

Matt Morgan had a three-year run with WWE from 2002 to 2005. He then competed across Japan and Europe before signing with TNA in 2007. He remained with the company until 2013 and returned for a brief stint in 2017. He retired from in-ring competition in 2019.

The former WWE star branched out into politics by the end of his career. He served multiple terms as Deputy Mayor and Mayor of Longwood, Florida, and is currently a Commissioner for the city.
