AEW Star MJF Never Wants To Join Another Stable

MJF recently spoke about his time in The Hurt Syndicate and why his run with the group came to an end.

In 2025, MJF aligned himself with The Hurt Syndicate, which included Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. At first, MJF tried hard to earn their trust. He even attacked younger talent and helped the team keep their tag titles. Eventually, the group accepted him in May.

The partnership reached its peak at AEW All In: Texas, where MJF won the Casino Gauntlet match. However, just weeks later, things fell apart. MVP gave him a thumbs down, and the group turned on him, saying they could not trust him.

Later reports claimed that MJF’s time in the faction was supposed to last much longer. The decision to end it reportedly did not come from MVP, but from another member of the group. Speaking on Self Made Pro, MJF explained what happened.

“All three of them put the thumbs down. They felt they didn’t need MJF in The Hurt Syndicate. They felt they’d thrive without me. I was having a good time. They didn’t want me in the crew anymore. It’s as simple as that.”

He admitted he enjoyed his time in the faction , even though he and Lashley clashed on screen. “I did enjoy my time. Me and Bobby didn’t get along, as you saw on TV. But sh*t happens. They didn’t want me in the crew. I think everything turned out okay for me. I think I’m fine.”

MJF says he never wants to join another stable

MJF also made it clear that he has no interest in joining another faction. “I don’t think I ever want to be in a stable ever again. I think what makes me special is the fact that I’m one of the few people in All Elite Wrestling that can stand ten toes down alone by himself and be the most interesting act on the show. I don’t need to rely on others.”

He added that he has proven he can create strong chemistry with anyone, “A lot of people say that I’m the type of guy that can make great chemistry with just about anybody. And I’ve proven that.”

“You know, I remember at one point people were like, ‘Holy sh*t MJF and Sammy Guevara should be the AEW Tag Team Champions.’ So, I mean, I can make a mountain out of a molehill. I can make money out of f*cking diarrhea. I can do it all.”
