MJF Calls AEW’s Main Event Scene the Best in Company History

MJF believes the AEW main event picture is stronger than ever and he says he is the reason why.

Speaking in an interview with Self Made Pro, MJF spoke about the company’s growth and the strength of the current title scene. “We are up year-over-year in ticket sales by a wide margin. We’re up year-over-year in ratings by a wide margin. We’ve got more momentum than we’ve had in years. I don’t think it’s an unfair thing for me to say.”

“It’s all because of me. And I don’t think it’s an unfair thing for me to say right now, point blank, and I know you three are big fans of All Elite Wrestling since day one. I’ve been a part of the company since day one. This is not hyperbolic. This is the best the main event scene has ever been in the history of the company.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]

Since MJF won the AEW World Title at Worlds End, many challengers have stepped up. The number of contenders has only grown in recent months. Stars like Kenny Omega, Hangman Page Swerve Strickland, Andrade El Idolo, and Brody King made his intentions clear.

Brody King defeated MJF in a World Title Eliminator match. That victory earned him a future championship opportunity. He challenged MJF at AEW Grand Slam Australia. The match drew major attention from fans. However, MJF retained the AEW World Championship.

After months of chasing the title, the competition narrowed down. Andrade and Hangman battled for the number one contender spot. Hangman won the match and secured the opportunity. Now, MJF will defend his AEW World Championship against Hangman Adam Page at AEW Revolution.
