AEW star Willow Nightingale recently reacted to a powerful promo from Eddie Kingston that mentioned her name during his 2022 feud with Chris Jericho.
In 2021 and 2022, Nightingale built her name in both AEW and ROH. She competed against some of the top stars in the industry. She wrestled Thunder Rosa during that run. She also stepped into the ring with Mercedes Martinez and Tay Melo.
Nightingale faced Athena and Jade Cargill as well. She battled Marina Shafir, Nyla Rose, and several others. After strong performances in tournaments and big matches, she officially signed with AEW in October 2022.
Fast forward to today, and she stands at the top of the division. She is now the reigning TBS Champion and also holds the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Harley Cameron. Recently, she looked back at Kingston’s promo battle with Jericho in 2022. During that heated exchange, he called out AEW President Tony Khan and pushed for more women’s wrestling on television.
Reacting to the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, Willow Nightingale shared how much the moment meant to her. She wrote, “I wasn’t even signed when Eddie said this, but it really meant so much to me that he felt I was worth any TV time at all—whether that be suggesting a full Dynamite match or simply the two seconds he took to drop my name. All love to him.”
