WWE Dedicates RAW To Longtime Director Kerwin Silfies

The most recent episode of WWE RAW paid tribute to one of its longtime employees who recently passed away.

During Monday’s episode, WWE showed an image of the late Kerwin Silfies, the long-time director for the company who passed away earlier this month. The broadcast showed Silfies sitting in the production booth with a message on screen for him, which you can see below:

Silfies was a long-time director for WWE, having joined the company in the 1980s and staying all the way through 2020. Throughout his time, Silfies spent his career backstage, directing some of the very first WrestleMania’s and more. Several wrestling stars, including Bryan Danielson and Taz, also shared tributes to the man.

Apart from his WWE work, Silfies is also credited for directing the 2007 documentary, The Last Full Measure, based on the Battle of Gettysburg. His first name was the inspiration for Chavo Guerrero’s Kerwin White character.

While he stayed out of the spotlight throughout his career, Kerwin Silfies appeared on Peacock’s recent documentary on WWE’s Wrestlemania IX. Fans and wrestling personalities have started paying tribute to the legendary director on social media.
