Roman Reigns’ Return Date Revealed on WWE RAW

As WrestleMania 42 gets closer, WWE has confirmed when Roman Reigns will return on RAW, and if CM Punk has his way, things might get physical before WrestleMania even arrives.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion opened Raw with an emotional promo. He said the spotlight usually follows him, but this time it wasn’t about him. Instead, he gave the moment to AJ Styles and encouraged the crowd to chant for Styles, and they did.

But then the mood changed.

Punk brought up Finn Bálor and his recent attack in Toronto. He talked about the “what if” questions Bálor had raised, like what if he hadn’t attacked Punk, or what if Punk had one last in-ring moment with Styles without interruption. The Champion brushed that off, saying if that had happened, The Judgment Day star wouldn’t even be in the title picture.

CM Punk called himself a fighting champion, comparing himself to legends like Terry Funk, Harley Race, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Triple H. He said he doesn’t deal in “what ifs.” That led to the biggest question- what if Roman Reigns were there tonight?

CM Punk Announces Roman Reigns Will Be on RAW Next Week

A small “OTC” chant started, but Punk quickly shut it down. He reminded everyone that Reigns wasn’t there and pointed out that he shows up every week.

Then he dropped the big news.

CM Punk confirmed that Roman Reigns will be on Raw in Indianapolis next week. And instead of waiting for WrestleMania 42, Punk hinted that he might punch Reigns the second he sees him.

“What if I don’t wait until WrestleMania and I punch him in his stupid face next week on Monday?” Punk asked.

He ended his promo by saying he doesn’t need to deal in what-ifs. He is the champion. He believes he is the best in the world. And he knows he is headlining WrestleMania.

As for Reigns, his schedule has been limited lately. Part of that was due to movie projects, including playing Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter film and appearing in The Pickup. He has also been working a lighter schedule in recent years to focus on family and health.
