WWE hasn’t forgotten about Bad Bunny.
Bad Bunny shocked fans and critics alike with his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37, teaming with Damian Priest against John Morrison and The Miz. However, the relationship with Priest would eventually turn sour on the road to WrestleMania 39.
At Backlash 2023, Bad Bunny defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight. The Archer of Infamy reportedly received massive praise for carrying his rival to an impressive match in front of an extremely loud Puerto Rico crowd.
Though Bad Bunny hasn’t appeared on a wrestling program in quite some time, WWE officials remain hopeful about bringing the Grammy winner back for an appearance when WrestleMania 42 approaches.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, WWE officials had been in contact with Bad Bunny’s camp well before the Super Bowl to gauge his interest and availability for the biggest PLE of the year.
“It is unclear where things ultimately stand at this time, but conversations were positive. One WWE source noted the company would ‘absolutely’ welcome Bad Bunny at WrestleMania, even if it’s just for an appearance and not a match,” the report noted.
Bad Bunny recently performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. Logan Paul came to the rapper’s aid after Jake Paul criticized Bunny’s involvement at the event. Logan recently stated that a match with Bunny has been pitched, with reports suggesting that WWE is optimistic about making what could be a tag team bout a reality.
WrestleMania 42 takes place on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Whether WWE manages to secure Bad Bunny for an appearance or even a match remains to be seen.
