WWE Planning Character Changes for Sol Ruca — Report

WWE is reportedly preparing adjustments to Sol Ruca’s presentation as talk of a main roster move continues to gain traction.

According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, Sol Ruca could undergo a “slight character change,” with a new entrance theme already in the works.

The reported tweaks come as several within WWE believe she has outgrown NXT, fueling expectations that RAW or SmackDown could soon be calling her name.

Sol Ruca recently made a strong impression in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble, entering the match and lasting 50 minutes.

She eliminated Jacy Jayne before a returning Tiffany Stratton took her out. She finished as one of the final three alongside Stratton and eventual winner Liv Morgan.

That showing reportedly turned heads internally, with prior reports noting that people in WWE were “raving” about her performance.

Sol Ruca Set for Character Refresh Ahead of Main Roster Move

The planned refresh reportedly includes new music, a key part of any Superstar’s identity. Entrance themes often set the tone before the first lock-up. So a change in sound can signal a shift in direction.

While specific character adjustments have not come to light, the update suggests WWE wants to fine-tune Ruca’s presentation before she officially transitions away from NXT.

Ruca is currently the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship after pinning Kendal Grey in a tag match on the February 10 episode of NXT.

She is set to challenge Jacy Jayne for the title. The NXT stars also remain involved in an ongoing storyline with her tag partner Zaria, as tension simmers between the duo known as ZaRuca.

Additionally, previous reporting indicated Ruca was tentatively scheduled to be in Chicago around Elimination Chamber weekend.

For now, her focus remains on the NXT Women’s Title. But with new music locked in and a character refresh on deck, Sol Ruca may soon be surfing onto a much bigger stage.
