WWE 2K26 Highlights New Additions In Universe Mode

WWE 2K26 may end up being a huge success thanks to several new additions to Universe Mode.

The WWE 2K26 Ringside Report (via 2K) provides additional details about Universe Mode, which allows players to turn weekly shows and PLEs into featured attractions, as well as assign Superstars to each show.

“When choosing which weekly shows to feature, players can use the Add New Show option to import an already downloaded or created show or create one from scratch. For default shows like Raw and SmackDown, players can edit other details like the Superstars on those rosters, championships, divisions supported, and more.”

Fans can showcase up to eight titles for the men’s and women’s divisions on each show. These include tag team titles and intergender-supported championships, along with two MITB briefcases.

WWE 2K26 introduces the WWE Draft

The WWE 2K26 Universe Mode also introduces the WWE Draft, allowing players to trade Superstars between participating shows over an entire week. Players can also create, edit, or remove drafts from their Universe.

“Supplemental shows can also be set up as an optional roster, such as NXT, making their roster one you can draft from Raw or SmackDown,” according to 2K, with the option to adjust draft rounds in settings. Players can perform a maximum of eight drafts.

Money in the Bank Cash-ins

WWE 2K26 has updated Money in the Bank cash-in rules. Players can now use the MITB briefcase to cash in on any eligible title on a given show. This appears to take inspiration from Austin Theory’s failed Money in the Bank cash-in on Seth Rollins for the United States Championship in 2022.

Players also have the option to attempt a cash-in either mid-match or post-match, adding more excitement and strategy.

Additional WWE 2K26 Universe Mode Updates

Universe Mode now features improved promos, including announcements that affect the immediate future of WWE Superstars. Open challenges have also been expanded to allow for spontaneous title defenses.

WWE 2K26 hit shelves on Friday, March 13, with early access starting on March 6 for premium editions. Pre-orders are available now.
