WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray had strong praise for MJF, saying the AEW star continues to prove how talented he truly is.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray reacted to MJF’s recent success in AEW and questioned what the AEW World Champion does not do well. Ray asked. “The answer is nothing.” He continued by praising MJF’s all-around skill set. “Max is really, really good at a lot of things. Max doesn’t have bad matches.”
“Nobody thought Max could go for an hour. Nobody thought Max could bleed. A lot of people thought he couldn’t hang with one of the biggest, baddest, toughest guys in AEW like Brody King. But he went out there and defended his championship.”
He made it clear that he believes MJF keeps proving his critics wrong. “What doesn’t Max do well? Not a freaking thing. That locker room better start taking notice of how good if not great Max is. He proves himself time after time.”
While praising him, Ray did say he would like to see MJF’s promos evolve further. However, he believes the issue is not MJF’s ability it’s the lack of strong mic opponents around him. “I’d like to see his promos evolve,” Ray said.
“But he doesn’t have the right person across from him on the microphone anymore. There’s no one there he can rise up to. He almost has to work down to make others keep up with him.” He then revealed the match he wants to see most. “I want Max and Mox in the ring so freaking bad.”
