Jelly Roll Attends TNA No Surrender and Gets Called Out by AJ Francis

TNA No Surrender had plenty of big moments, but one of the most talked-about parts of the night happened in the crowd when AJ Francis called out Jelly Roll.

The Grammy-winning singer showed up at the event on February 13 at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee. His home crowd gave him a loud reaction when he appeared on camera. But things really picked up when Francis made his entrance.

Francis got in the ring and started trash-talking the Nashville crowd. He mentioned Seattle’s Super Bowl win, then turned his attention to Jelly Roll. He warned the singer that if he ever “wants to cross the line”, he should “just know that TN AJ Francis will be waiting” for him.

Francis said he is the real ratings draw, and claimed that whenever he appears, whether in TNA or NXT, viewership goes up. “I’m the ratings draw. That’s the reason I go to NXT last summer and the ratings popped. That’s why when I’m in TNA, and no matter if I’m in the main event or the opener, the ratings pop,” he said.

Francis even pointed out that he wasn’t officially booked on the No Surrender card, yet he was still making headlines.

After his promo, Francis joined commentary for the rest of the show, including the match between Action Mike Jackson and Mance Warner.

Jelly Roll Has Attended and Competed in WWE Events

Jelly Roll has been getting more involved in wrestling over the past year. His song “Liar” was the official theme for SummerSlam 2024, and he performed it during the event.

In 2025, he started training for his WWE debut and later competed at SummerSlam. At that event, he teamed with Randy Orton to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.

His performance surprised several fans. He took splashes and bumps like a pro and also performed some great spots himself. Some reports said he even asked to take the pinfall loss himself, which earned him respect backstage.

Now, after winning Best Country Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Jelly Roll still maintains his connection to the wrestling world.
