Triple H pays tribute to a WWE veteran who passed away due to colon cancer last week.
Jim Shank, who worked behind the scenes in WWE as a Technical Operations Manager, passed away after a lengthy battle with colorectal cancer on Friday, February 6. He joined the company in 1999 and, in recent years, was responsible for operating the robotic and remote-controlled camera systems.
WWE honored Jim Shank with a post-show tribute after this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. The company’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, also took to X/Twitter to pay his respects to the veteran.
“On Friday, the @WWE family lost a beloved member of its production crew. Jim Shank was a fixture backstage and an incredible teammate, who helped create the magic of the live experience at WWE. My thoughts and those of our entire crew and talent roster are with his family at this time. It’s never goodbye…but see ya down the road,” Triple H posted.
Several wrestling personalities had supported Jim Shank in his battle against cancer, as many of them made significant donations to a GoFundMe launched last year to help him with his medical treatments. While wrestlers like Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Alexa Bliss, Cody Rhodes, and Chris Jericho made substantial contributions, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon donated $122,000 to the cause, which raised over $200,000.
