Stephanie Vaquer’s new pyro caught Dominik Mysterio off guard on WWE RAW.
After staying on the sidelines for a while due to a shoulder injury, WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio returned on the episode of RAW after the 2026 Royal Rumble. He also appeared on this week’s episode of the red brand and accompanied Women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan to the ring.
Before Morgan could speak, Dominik Mysterio gave her a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates as an early Valentine’s Day present. However, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer interrupted them before they could speak further.
WWE gave Stephanie Vaquer a new entrance theme last week. While it has received negative reviews from fans, it got a new add-on during this week’s RAW when the music began with a loud pyro blast similar to that of Kane’s. Dominik Mysterio, who wasn’t expecting Vaquer’s arrival, was visibly shaken up when the pyro hit.
Fans noticed the hilarious moment and posted the clip on social media, getting some laughs at Mysterio’s expense.
“I think Dom legit got scared LMAFO,” one fan posted.
“I still hate this new entrance theme for Stephanie Vaquer; it’s not even music; it’s just noise looped. But that sudden blast of pyro almost made Dominik Mysterio piss himself!!” Another fan wrote.
Dominik Mysterio explained why he doesn’t like pyro
This week’s episode of WWE RAW wasn’t the first time Dominik Mysterio got scared of pyro, as he had a similar moment during his early days in the Judgment Day.
He explained his aversion to loud noises during an interview with Chris Van Vliet in 2024. He noted that his ears grew very sensitive to loud noises and that pyros of WWE legends like Kane, Batista, and The Big Show always scare him.
“I’m not a fan of loud noises. So, like, pyro gets me every now and then. Like Kane’s pyro would always scare the hell out of me. Big Show’s pyro, Batista’s. I feel like my ears grew very sensitive to that. You see kids nowadays at the shows with these massive (noise-cancelling headphones), I never had any of those, or like the little earplugs. So my ears are very sensitive to noise,” Dominik Mysterio said.
He is also kayfabe scared of heights, especially when hung over the ring in a shark cage.
