CM Punk Has Really Impressed This WWE Hall Of Famer Lately

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff says CM Punk has impressed him since returning to WWE.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently criticized Punk for wrestling in a T-shirt. Punk later reacted Nash’s comments actually led him to wear two shirts and admitted he doesn’t fully understand the criticism. He added that he likes to keep things fun, especially at non-televised live events.

On 83 Weeks, Bischoff shared his thoughts on Punk and the debate over the T-shirt. Bischoff said he had issues with how Punk handled himself during his time in AEW. “I had a real issue with some of the shit that he did in AEW. Now, let’s fast forward. He’s 100% Pro. I’ve been around just a little bit backstage, and he’s got a positive attitude on the people that I saw him come into contact with.”

Bischoff also disagreed with the criticism about Punk wrestling in a T-shirt. “As far as the t-shirt thing, I don’t know, man, if I was making a percentage of the T-shirts that had my trademark on it or my likeness on it, I’d be wearing it too. He just chooses [to[ wear the shirt. I think you’re probably right. He’s making money doing it”

Eric Bischoff praises CM Punk’s authenticity in WWE

Eric Bischoff said CM Punk has a real connection with fans and comes across as authentic in a way few wrestlers do. He said, “There is an authenticity to him that just makes him different than everybody else. So I think the world of him, professionally, I think he’s doing a phenomenal job.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]

Punk returned to WWE in 2023 after AEW fired him following a backstage incident with Jack Perry. Since returning Punk has been a backstage leader for rising stars. He is clearly enjoying his second run with the company.
