Dominik Mysterio is finally getting ready to make his in-ring return.
Mysterio popped back up on the February 9 episode of WWE RAW. He reunited with Liv Morgan, the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble winner, as she celebrated her big win.
After weeks of questions about his status, it has now been confirmed that “Dirty” Dom will return to in-ring action next week on RAW. His return will come in the form of an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, his first WWE match since December.
Why Dominik Mysterio Has Been Absent From WWE RAW
Even though he has been appearing on TV, Dominik hasn’t wrestled since December 20, 2025. A shoulder injury he picked up at AAA Guerra de Titanes, where he teamed with El Grande Americano and lost to Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio, had kept him out of action. Despite his injury, he continued showing up in video segments for AAA to keep storylines moving.
Fightful Select previously reported that WWE had hoped Mysterio would get the all-clear to return soon, and that now seems to be the case. At one point, rumors intensified about a potential surprise entry in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, but that didn’t happen.
This return comes at an important time for Dominik Mysterio. In 2025, he beat El Hijo del Vikingo to win the AAA Mega Championship and later won back the WWE Intercontinental Championship from John Cena at Survivor Series: WarGames. Despite holding both titles, he hasn’t defended the Intercontinental Championship since regaining it.
Meanwhile, his schedule outside WWE is already set. Mysterio recently appeared at an AAA show where El Hijo del Vikingo confronted him. The two are booked to face each other at Rey de Reyes 2026 on March 14. Vikingo even challenged Mysterio to put his hair on the line, giving him two weeks to decide.
