WWE Confirms SmackDown Schedule Change

WWE has officially confirmed a temporary home change for Friday Night SmackDown, with the show moving from USA Network to Syfy for two weeks in February 2026.

The shift comes as USA Network clears the runway for Winter Olympics coverage. This set of events sends the blue brand on a brief channel hop without changing its usual time slot.

SmackDown will air on Syfy on Friday, February 13 and Friday, February 20, maintaining its regular three-hour format from 8 to 11 p.m. ET.

The move is tied directly to USA Network’s 24/7 coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which run from February 6 through February 22. In other words, the Olympics grabbed the gold — and SmackDown took the scenic route.

The February 13 episode will emanate from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The February 20 broadcast airs from the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.

USA Network airs SmackDown on February 27 from Louisville, Kentucky, serving as the go-home show for the Elimination Chamber PLE. Consider it a brief detour before the Road to WrestleMania gets back on track.

For international viewers, there’s no need to change the channel — or the remote. SmackDown will continue streaming live on Netflix outside the United States as planned, meaning the switch doesn’t affect the international audience at all. Same superstars, same start time, just a different logo in the corner of the screen.

The channel change doesn’t impact WWE’s live event schedule or creative direction. Moreover, the company has stressed that SmackDown’s presentation will remain unchanged.

While the Olympics may be about speed skating and downhill runs, SmackDown is still focused on hard hits and fast counts. For two weeks only, the blue brand goes full Syfy — then it’s back to USA, right on cue.
