WWE Officially Changes RAW Star’s Name

WWE seems to have fully repackaged a popular Superstar ahead of RAW this week.

The WWE Universe witnessed a stunning betrayal several weeks ago. Maxxine Dupri had victory stolen from her during the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Becky Lynch on the January 19 episode of RAW in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The closing moments of the match saw Natalya place Lynch’s foot on the ring rope, allowing Big Time Becks to capitalize on the distraction and retain her title against Maxxine. After the match, Natalya destroyed her protégé in a display of aggressive assault.

Fans were introduced to a newer, far more intimidating version of Natalya—or “Nattie”—the following week in a video promo. In the vignette, Nattie downplayed Maxxine Dupri’s achievements before ending the segment with a new catchphrase.

Nattie also shared an image of herself urinating on the grave of “WWE Superstar Natalya,” officially marking the change to her new persona. While the social media post was designed to gain traction, it went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Ahead of this week’s RAW, WWE updated Natalya’s name on their website to Nattie, suggesting the gimmick change is now complete. Her bio appears unchanged, with the name being the only major update in the description.

Natalya introduced the “Nattie Neidhart” persona on the independent circuit long before WWE creative approved the gimmick change on television. Whether this run will lead to a title win remains to be seen.

WrestleZone will provide live coverage of WWE RAW later tonight.
