WWE Hall of Famer Believes AJ Styles Will Wrestle Again

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett believes AJ Styles is not done wrestling yet.

At the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles ended his in-ring career after Gunther put him to sleep with a sleeper hold. The moment felt emotional, but one moment immediately stood out, as Styles did not leave his gloves in the ring following the match.

Speaking with Conrad Thompson on his My World Podcast, Jeff Jarrett shared his thoughts on the match and compared it to other recent retirement-style matches. “We have not seen the last of AJ Styles in the ring. Look, it may be a year, it may be two years, I don’t know.”

Jarrett asked Thompson, “I think AJ’s stock, if he’s on the ticker, over the last week or two, has risen. Would you buy AJ stock right now?” Thompson replied, “If we were giving stock recommendations, I would give it a buy, that’s for sure.”

Jeff Jarrett says AJ Styles may still have one more WWE run left

Jeff Jarrett explained that while the match was done well, he does not believe it was the last time fans will see Styles in the ring. He also added that Gunther gained more momentum by beating Styles than John Cena and Goldberg.

“Out of Goldberg, Cena, and AJ, out of those three, I thought Gunther built more equity in the Gunther character by beating AJ than the others by far. That was well done. But no, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of it. The taking off the gloves and all that stuff, it’s curious.” [H/T: f4wonline]

The decision to not leave his gloves in the ring led many fans to question whether Styles truly retired or if this was only the end of his WWE run. Styles addressed the speculation himself on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon. He added to the uncertainty by saying, “Never say never.”
