Roman Reigns offered rare insight into WWE’s locker room culture, reflecting on his Royal Rumble return and the mindset that has defined his rise to the top.
The comments came during a candid Royal Rumble vlog published on February 6, just days after he won the match and set his WrestleMania 42 plans in motion.
Reigns revealed that his return ahead of the Royal Rumble was not subtle from WWE’s side. “They begged me to come back,” he said. “They said, ‘Save us.’ So I said, ‘Okay.’”
He ultimately entered the match, won the Rumble, and secured the right to challenge for the world championship of his choosing.
That decision became official on WWE RAW when Reigns announced he would challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Their face-to-face segment quickly drew attention, with fans and analysts praising the intensity and restraint shown by both men.

He expanded on the idea, explaining that longevity in WWE demands resilience. “You just learn, that’s just what it is. We’re all thick-skinned alphas here,” the Royal Rumble winner said. “You’re going to hear a lot of stuff, you’re going to hear a lot of jabs here and there.”
Roman Reigns also addressed criticism that his rise came easily, pushing back firmly. “The sh*t I think and the sh*t I say matters. I earned that. Nobody gave it to me; I had to take it,” he said. The Royal Rumble winner cited early battles with veterans like John Cena, Randy Orton, and Big Show as formative moments.
