CM Punk recently tossed out a playful throwback match idea involving Seth Rollins, leaning into a classic WWE stipulation while promoting his upcoming WrestleMania 42 appearance.
The comment surfaced during a media interview tied to Punk’s current run as World Heavyweight Champion.
While appearing on Up & Adams, Kay Adams asked Punk to create a dream match stipulation for WWE 2K26.
Among several lighthearted ideas, he suggested a bout against Seth Rollins with a very old-school consequence attached.
CM Punk said he’d book a loser-gets-their-head-shaved match. Punk explained that he simply wants to see what Rollins would look like bald and joked that the visual alone would be worth it.
“I would do CM Punk against Seth Rollins and a loser must shave his head because I would love to see what he looks like bald,” said Punk.
CM Punk Suggests Hair vs. Pride Match for Seth Rollins
Punk framed the idea as humorous rather than serious, poking fun at Rollins’ long hair. Moreover, he suggested that the concept would ultimately be entertaining.
He added that he has no interest in risking his own hair, joking that a “loser gets a man bun” stipulation would be a non-starter. The comments fit Punk’s current promotional tone as he balances big-match hype with self-aware humor.
The suggestion also stood out because a similar stipulation is about to play out elsewhere in wrestling. In All Elite Wrestling, a hair-versus-hair match is officially scheduled for AEW Grand Slam: Australia. The mixed tornado tag bout will see Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy face Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir. The losing side would have to shave their heads.
Storm issued the challenge on AEW Collision and has since expressed anxiety about the stakes, openly worrying about what losing her hair would mean. Despite those concerns, the stipulation remains locked in for the Feb. 14 event in Sydney.
Punk’s comment wasn’t positioned as a serious pitch, but it highlighted how traditional wrestling stipulations still resonate when used sparingly.
With AEW actively reviving the concept and Punk joking about it on a major platform, hair-based matches remain part of the wider wrestling conversation — even if Rollins isn’t heading for the barber anytime soon.
