WWE Merchandise Supplier Fanatics Getting Tons Of Hate Over Super Bowl Controversy

NFL fans call out WWE merchandise supplier Fanatics over Super Bowl gear quality.

WWE onboarded Fanatics as its exclusive e-commerce merchandise partner in 2022. Under the deal, Fanatics handles licensed merchandise and trading cards. The partnership has since expanded to include on-site retail at live events and podcasts.

In addition to WWEShop.com, Fanatics also operates FansEdge, Lids, NFLShop, MLBShop, MLSStore, NBAStore, and NHLShop, among others.

That said, Fanatics recently found itself in hot water over the quality of its Super Bowl jerseys. The company issued a lengthy statement addressing the feedback, acknowledging shortcomings related to product availability for Patriots and Seahawks fans.

“NFL fans, we’ve seen your jersey feedback, and we take it very seriously. We’ve let Patriots and Seahawks fans down with product availability – we own that and we are sorry,” Fanatics said in a statement.

Admitting it was unable to meet the unprecedented demand for the jerseys, Fanatics added that fans who are not satisfied with their purchases will be offered refunds through the app. The company concluded by reaffirming its commitment to customer feedback.

However, many fans continued to complain about the jerseys, calling them cheap-looking and criticizing the company’s response. Fanatics merchandise has frequently faced backlash in the past over quality control issues and misprints.
