A former WWE Superstar says she had no business getting back in the ring so soon after giving birth.
Brooke Adams found her way into WWE after trying out for the 2006 Diva Search. She debuted on the main roster in 2007, joining Kelly Kelly and Layla as part of the Extreme Exposé in ECW. Her stint with the company ended in November 2007. It took her some time before signing with TNA Wrestling in 2010, and she went on to become a three-time Knockouts Champion before her exit at the end of 2015 due to pregnancy.
She returned to the company for a brief stint in 2017, but it only lasted a few months. When a fan on X/Twitter asked Brooke Adams why her TNA run ended prematurely, the former WWE star revealed she returned to the ring around five or six months after giving birth to her son.
Adams noted that pelvic floor dysfunction caused some embarrassing moments for her in the ring, including not being able to hold her urine.
“I came back and you may have not seen my show on @TLC called Rattled. I was only 5-6 months postpartum. I honestly had no business coming back so fast-as embarrassing as it is I could not hold my pee. My pelvic floor was destroyed and I was peeing all over myself & in the ring,” the former WWE star replied.
The 2017 TLC show Rattled featured Brooke Adams, following her journey into motherhood and documenting the arrival of her son Jace.
Brooke Adams says she had a hard time playing a dumb character in WWE
Speaking in a WrestlingNewsCo interview with SoCal Val, Brooke Adams looked back at her time in Extreme Exposé in WWE’s ECW. She noted that she had a very difficult time playing a “dumb” character during that time.
“I came in as a dancer. Honey, I cannot dance. I know what it kind of looks like… fake it ’til you make it. All I can do is just pop it. Trust the process. … I didn’t like the dumb essence of it. Why can’t I be a sexy, hot, smart secretary? Why do I gotta play dumb? I had a very difficult time with that,” the former WWE star said.
