This is the second cover for CM Punk, as he was also the featured cover athlete on WWE ’13.
CM Punk reacted to being named the cover star of WWE 2K26 during the Royal Rumble kickoff show in Saudi Arabia.
“It is my pleasure and honor,” CM Punk told Michael Cole. “As a little kid I could only dream of being on the cover of a video game. Now I’m joining some esteemed dignitaries who have been on the cover twice.”
There have been multiple WWE Superstars who were on the cover twice, including Triple H, The Rock and Undertaker, who were all on various group covers throughout the years.
As far as solo covers, CM Punk joins John Cena as the only WWE Superstars to earn that honor since the WWE video games went to solo covers in 2012.
When will WWE 2K26 be released?
WWE 2K26 will be released on Friday, March 13, 2026.
WWE announced that a gameplay trailer will be revealed during the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event on Saturday, January 30.
