Earlier this week, Tommaso Ciampa took to social media to announce that he would be departing WWE when his contract expired in the near future. But once Ciampa’s contract is up, what does he plan to do next?
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ciampa has indicated that he plans to return to the independent wrestling scene.
In addition to the indies, Meltzer reports that there is talk of trying to get Ciampa into New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The company is set to return for a show in the United States on February 27 for The New Beginning USA at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.
