TNA Impact Ends With A Shocking Swerve

The System shocked fans on TNA Impact with a major shakeup during the show’s chaotic closing segment.

TNA Impact advertised a major announcement from The System following JDC stepping away from in-ring competition. Fans speculated for weeks about who would join the faction, and the answers finally came on following the main event.

The announcement came after Jeff Hardy defeated Mustafa Ali in the main event. After the match, The System walked to the ring, and JDC took the microphone. He thanked fans for the sendoff he received at Genesis and said the moment was not about him.

He said he personally chose his replacement, praised him as the future of The System and professional wrestling, and introduced Bear Bronson. Bronson entered the ring, and commentary noted he trained under Brian Myers.

He hugged Myers, Eddie Edwards, and JDC, then everything fell apart. Eddie Edwards suddenly turned on JDC and hit him with a low blow. Bronson and Myers then shockingly attacked Moose, escalating a major betrayal.

The lineup change wasn’t done just yet, as Cedric Alexander ran to the ring to make the save with a chair, but he joined the attack instead, striking Moose from behind with a chair. Eddie Edwards says this had been the plan all along. He told JDC and Moose that The System was replacing not one, but two members and warned that no one should trust the faction.

With JDC and Moose out and Bear Bronson and Cedric Alexander in, The System has fully turned heel. It was well-known that JDC was leaving, but seeing him betrayed and Moose, an original member, thrown out, certainly surprised fans.
