Seth Rollins revealed that Kevin Owens wants to form a tag team with him once both return to WWE.
Speaking on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, Rollins said he and Kevin Owens stay in touch and have talked about teaming up again when they are healthy. He said, “He’s like, ‘Let’s just, you know, when I come back and you come back, let’s just be in a tag team and have fun!’ And that’s what he wants to do all the time.”
Becky Lynch, who also appeared in the interview, chimed in and said Owens simply enjoys working with people he likes. She added that she would even enjoy being part of a group with Rollins and Owens.
Owens came up again when Rollins talked about the most painful moves he has taken in WWE. Rollins said, “That giant spinebuster that Bobby Lashley does, like the Farooq-style spinebuster? Oh my god, I dreaded it so bad.”
“There was a period of time where Vince [McMahon] wanted Bobby to be extra intense, and Kevin Owens and I were heels trying to, you know, re-fire up Bobby as a babyface and oh my god, every night — him and Ryback were the two. It was so bad … taking back body drops from Ryback on house shows definitely took years off my career.” [H/T: WrestlingInc]
Both Rollins and Owens are sidelined with injuries. Rollins is dealing with a shoulder injury and is expected to return in a few months. While Owens is recovering from a neck injury and could be out for a much longer time. The two previously teamed together on WWE RAW during 2021 and 2022.
