Elayna Black welcomes everyone to a new era after her TNA on AMC debut.
TNA iMPACT’s AMC debut last night featured a big moment when Director of Authority Santino Marella introduced former WWE Superstar Daria Rae (Sonya Deville) as a new authority figure. While Rae started off saying how great it was to be there, she suddenly turned heel on Marella and revealed that she had signed a new knockout to TNA Wrestling, former NXT star Elayna Black (Cora Jade).
Elayna Black last appeared on TNA Wrestling at Sacrifice 2025, where she unsuccessfully challenged Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts Women’s Championship. After announcing an indefinite break from pro wrestling following her release from WWE in May 2025, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion made her debut as an official TNA star on last night’s iMPACT on AMC.
Taking to X/Twitter, Elayna Black confidently commented on her big debut by welcoming TNA Wrestling to the “Era of Elayna.” She also reposted the clip of her debut with the caption, “Eat your hearts out!”
Elayna Black reveals advice CM Punk gave her after WWE release
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show last year, Elayna Black opened up about her release from WWE and revealed the advice CM Punk gave her after she was let go.
“It’s just so weird to have that person in your life that literally shaped me who I am. I was the biggest fan of him. To have that person as a mentor, be there for all my big moments, always give advice, always just be there,” Elayna Black began. “He was the first person I talked to after I got fired. On the phone, talked to him, literally the very first person. He’s the best person I could get advice from.
“Obviously, he’s been through it all. He knows what he’s doing. He always gives me advice to not do necessarily what he’s done and say things too early or say things when you feel them. Control your emotions. I feel like that’s what he’s always been very good at helping me realize is what I need to do. [He] just always gives good advice in those times. I couldn’t be more thankful for him. I feel like he’s shaped me so much as a wrestler and growing up and as a person, but also the promo skills. All my promo skills are like him, AJ [Lee], Jon Moxley was another great one. I always watched people like that who were able to be real, but also be so deep as a character. I feel like that’s where I pick it up from,” Elayna Black said.
