Popular AEW Tag Team Declares They Are Back

A popular AEW tag team has reunited.

Andy Williams, also known as The Butcher, gained prominence as one half of the tag team with The Blade in All Elite Wrestling. The duo has been active in the promotion since 2019, when they debuted by attacking Cody Rhodes.

Since 2023, The Butcher and The Blade have made frequent appearances in Ring of Honor. Although they have not competed in tag team action since January 2024, when they lost to Top Flight on ROH TV, a recent post from Williams suggests a reunion may be on the way.

Taking to X, The Butcher shared a photo alongside The Blade. While the caption clearly indicated that they are back, fans have yet to see the reunion play out on AEW television.

“Butcher and Blade are back bitch. @AEW”

Elsewhere in AEW, the promotion presented the Maximum Carnage episode of Dynamite last night. In the main event, MJF successfully defended his world title against ROH World Champion Bandido. After the match, Friedman attacked Bandido until Brody King appeared to make the save.

MJF will once again put his title on the line when he returns to Limitless Wrestling this Friday. The AEW star is set to face rising independent standout Alec Price. Friedman previously had a brief stint with Limitless Wrestling before joining MLW.
