An international ad featuring an AEW star dressed as hot chocolate has emerged online.
AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn has been absent from television since late summer 2025. While initially believed to be due to health issues, specifically stress fractures in his back, Gunn provided a clarification saying his absence is due to the company not having any creative direction for him.
Amid his absence, an X/Twitter user posted an old advertisement featuring Billy Gunn dressed as hot chocolate, asking how it happened. Filmed to promote the brand Options, the ad shows people as different flavors of hot chocolate, trying to convince a woman to choose them. The AEW star was seen dressed as ‘Ooh la la Vanilla’ and flexing his bicep. Although the woman seemed impressed, she ended up choosing ‘Mint Madness.’
Billy Gunn responded to the post with a sarcastic remark, saying he agreed to do it because he was paid.
“Ya they paid me to,” Gunn wrote.
AEW’s Billy Gunn reveals biggest fear about wrestling today
During an appearance on the Fuel & Flex podcast last year, Billy Gunn shared his biggest fear while competing in the ring at the age of 62.
“My biggest fear is that when I wrestle now, what I have to get past is, ‘God I hope I don’t get hurt, I won’t be able to train,’” the AEW star said. “That’s like the number one thing that gets in my head, is like, ‘Okay, I don’t wanna do a bunch of this because if I get hurt or something tweaks, then I won’t be able to go to the gym and lift, and if I can’t do that, I will lose my mind.’”
“I still pretty much do everything that I do. I never really did a lot. Now, when I get in the ring, it’s more for nostalgia purposes, for people to see — it’s more for parents that have kids that go, ‘Hey, this is the guy I grew up on, and I can still see him live,’” the AEW star said.
