This former iMPACT World Champion appears to be staying with TNA for the foreseeable future.
PWInsider.com is reporting that former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin has signed a contract extension with the company.
“The word making the rounds is that former TNA Champion Steve Maclin has come to terms with TNA on what is described to PWInsider.com as an ‘extension’ to his existing TNA deal,” the report stated.
While the report did not specify the length of the extension, it noted that Maclin is continuing to accept independent bookings through April.
Steve Maclin joined iMPACT Wrestling in 2021 following a lengthy stint with WWE. His early feuds on iMPACT! saw him compete against the likes of Petey Williams and Jonathan Gresham. Maclin’s breakout moment came in 2023, when he defeated KUSHIDA for the vacant iMPACT World Championship at Rebellion.
Maclin later dropped the title to Alex Shelley. He went on to become the inaugural TNA International Champion at Unbreakable 2025. His second reign with the title ended at the hands of NXT’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo at TNA Final Resolution 2025.
On the final episode of TNA iMPACT on AXS TV, Stacks lost to Maclin via disqualification following interference from Arianna Grace.
