Bravo Americano pulled off a move on WWE RAW that looked pretty familiar.
This week’s episode of WWE RAW on Netflix took place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The show featured Los Americanos’ Bravo Americano facing off with Je’Von Evans, who signed with RAW last week. During the match, Bravo performed an airplane spin, which is also a signature move of WWE Superstar Tyler Bate.
WWE commentator Wade Barrett joked that the German fans were chanting “Big Strong Boi,” a reference to Bate. Michael Cole also referenced the similarities of the two performers on commentary, playing up the fact that Bate performs as Bravo, but Los Americanos’ identities are a running gag:

Some fans also thought WWE referenced a current AEW star
While Barrett and Cole’s respective remarks were clearly meant to reference Bate, some fans thought they were talking about Claudio Castagnoli. The man formerly known as WWE’s Cesaro was known to perform an airplane spin on occasion, although Bate has done it in WWE on a more regular basis.
The finish of the match saw Je’Von Evans hit Bravo Americano with the OG Cutter to score the pinfall victory. This was Evans’ first in-ring appearance on WWE RAW since signing with the brand. However, his joining RAW was controversial due to the contract signing taking place during a commercial break.
