WWE Superstar Stephanie Vaquer has provided another update on her ankle injury.
La Primera updated fans on her condition earlier this week on WWE RAW. During an in-ring interview segment, Vaquer stated that she was banged up but would not be relinquishing the Women’s World Championship.
Vaquer was later attacked by Raquel Rodriguez. “Big Mami Cool” delivered the initial assault inside the ring before continuing the beatdown backstage. According to a report, the angle was designed to set up another singles match, with rumors suggesting the two could meet as early as the Royal Rumble.
Vaquer recently took to Instagram Stories to show fans the extent of her ankle injury. The Women’s World Champion posted a photo of her visibly swollen ankle with the caption “recovering.” A follow-up post showed her ankle being scanned by a medical professional.
According to another report, WWE sees tremendous value in pairing Vaquer against Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch at different points this year. The company also has plans for her to feud with Liv Morgan later down the line.
Vaquer won the Women’s World Championship by defeating IYO SKY at WrestlePalooza. She has since successfully retained the title against Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez.
