Young Bucks Return With Old School Gimmick On AEW Dynamite

The Young Bucks are back on AEW Dynamite.

The second match of Dynamite this week saw ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry set for his trios tag team match against The Demand (Ricochet and Gates of Agony). Before Jack could enter the ring, familiar theme music blasted through the speakers as Matt and Nick Jackson made their in-ring return.

The commentary team noted that the Young Bucks appeared to have returned to their old ways for the right reasons, largely thanks to Kenny Omega’s pep talk several months ago on AEW television. For context, the Bucks spent most of 2025 as heels, even aligning with The Don Callis Family.

The finish of the match saw the Bucks hit their V-Trigger, followed by Jack Perry sealing the victory with a running knee strike. After the match, Matt and Nick Jackson were attacked by Mark Davis and Jake Doyle inside the ring until JetSpeed made the save. However, the lights went out and returned to reveal a returning Andrade El Idolo as The Don Callis Family took care of business.

Jack Perry had originally been scheduled to team up with JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey), but the duo was taken out backstage earlier in the evening by Mark Davis and Jake Something.

Prior to tonight, the Young Bucks were last seen on the December 17, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite, where they and Kenny Omega defeated Hechicero, Kazuchika Okada, and Konosuke Takeshita in a $1 million match.
