AEW Dynamite Results:
Tonight’s episode of Dynamite kicks off with Justin Roberts welcoming Jim Ross back to AEW as tonight’s third man on commentary.
AEW reairs the segment from social media that reveals JetSpeed was taken out backstage by former TNA Wrestling Star Jake Doyle (AKA Jake Something).
Eliminator Match for the AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley vs. Shelton Benjamin
- The finish of the match saw Shelton Benjamin lock Jon Moxley in a Triangle Choke, but Moxley was able to stack him up to score the pinfall seconds before the time limit expired.
Winner: Jon Moxley
After the match, Moxley and Benjamin shake hands in a show of respect.
Grade: A-
I really loved this match, but I hated the finish. It really made Benjamin look like an idiot. Everything was going in his favor, and locking on the submission was fine, but the second Moxley stacked him up, he should have let go. I have no problem with Moxley winning, but that finish wasn’t it for me. This match would have easily been an A or higher with a better finish.
Cheers to Hiroshi Tanahashi
We see Darby Allin backstage looking for someone, presumably PAC.
They then play a video package from Wrestle Kingdom 20, where Hiroshi Tanahashi wrestled his final match, losing to AEW’s Kazuchika Okada one last time.
A video package airs hyping a potential future match between MJF and Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. Omega will return next week at Maximum Carnage.
The Young Bucks step in for JetSpeed to team with Jungle Jack Perry against The Demand.
Jungle Jack Perry and the Young Bucks vs. The Demand (Ricochet and GOA)
- The finish of the match saw the Young Bucks hit Ricochet with the BTE Trigger, followed by Jungle Jack Perry hitting him with a running knee to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: Jungle Jack Perry and the Young Bucks
After the match, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle hit the ring to attack the Bucks and Perry. This brings out the injured JetSpeed, who tries to even the odds. The lights go out and come back on with Andrade El Idolo in the ring, rejoining the Don Callis Family and taking everyone out. Don Callis and his gigantic faction stand tall. The segment ends with FTR walking out on the stage with Big Stoke in a wheelchair as the trio of men stare down El Idolo.
Grade: A+
This match freaking ruled from start to finish. The first two matches on this show helped showcase so many different things I love about AEW. Both matches were completely different styles, but I absolutely loved them both. Fantastic stuff!
It’s time to celebrate!
Renee Paquette is in the ring, and she brings out the newly crowned TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander are also in the ring. Nightingale says this is the first stop on the Willow Two Belts tour. Nightingale puts over Cameron and Statlander. Willow says she’s been reunited with the TBS Championship and Kris Statlander. Stat kisses Willow on the cheek. Nightingale says she wants to be a fighting champion and will wrestle twice in one night if she needs to.
Nightingale assumes there is someone back there who wants to ruin her party and invites them out to the ring now. This brings out Mercedes Moné. Nightingale puts over everything Moné did in 2025, but she is once again the face of TBS. Mercedes snaps and throws things before flipping the table. Statlander tries to save the cake, but when Mercedes goes to attack Willow, she moves, and Mercedes lands headfirst in the cake. Nightingale follows it up by hitting Moné with the Babe with the Powerbomb on top of the cake.
Mark Briscoe is ready to whoop someone’s ass on Collision
We get a promo from TNT Champion Mark Briscoe on his chicken farm in Delaware, hyping up his upcoming title defense this weekend on Collision against Hechicero.
A challenge has been issued for Maximum Carnage
We hear from the Triangle of Madness backstage, and a trios match between them, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Kris Statlander, is set for Maximum Carnage next week.
Sammy Guevara vs. Bandido
- The finish of the match saw Bandido hit Sammy Guevara with the 21Plex to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Bandido
After the match, MJF comes to the ring with Jon Cruz for some reason. MJF calls himself a lucha libre legend and puts over everything he’s done in Mexico. Friedman says he’s done more in Mexico than Bandido ever has. MJF says Bandido has potential and says he brought out Jon Cruz as his translator to make sure their wires don’t get crossed.
Cruz speaks to Bandido in Spanish. Even with the mask on, Bandido looks annoyed. MJF says he hopes Bandido is smarter than he looks and puts over how many Dynamite Diamond Rings he’s won. The crowd responds by calling Friedman an asshole. MJF asks Bandido to hand the Dynamite Diamond Ring over to him, and they can cancel the match next week because he doesn’t have a prayer.
MJF says if he agrees, he’ll put him over to Tony Khan backstage, and he’ll face him on pay-per-view in five to ten years. Bandido tells MJF he can speak English and calls him a stupid son of a bitch. Friedman responds by kicking him in the dick and stealing the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
Friedman tries to deck Bandido, but he ducks and hits Cruz instead. Bandido responds by kicking MJF in the dick and taking back the ring before hitting Cruz and MJF with back-to-back 21Plexes.
The segment ends with Bandido holding up the AEW World Championship.
Grade: A-
This match overdelivered for me. I wasn’t expecting a lot from this one because I thought it would be something quick to set up MJF’s appearance, but we actually ended up with a really great match. Very fun stuff. Guevara looked very motivated to prove himself to everyone once again in 2026.
Brody King is looking to have a big 2026
We get a video package hyping up Brody King. It appears AEW has some huge plans for the big man in 2026.
Timeless Toni Storm (w/ Luther) vs. Marina Shafir
- The finish of the match saw Toni Storm catch Marina Shafir in the Big Package, but Wheeler Yuta pulls the referee out before he can count three, leading to a DQ finish.
Winner: Timeless Toni Storm
After the match, Shafir knocks out Storm and Mina Shirakawa, who came down and attempted to assist. This brought in Luther to try and defend them, but before Shafir could attack him, Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy made the save. Cassidy pulled both women up and held each one of them in one of his arms to end the segment.
Grade: B-
Everything on tonight’s show was clicking with me in a big way until this. Storm and Shafir have competed against each other plenty of times in recent months, so I’m surprised this match wasn’t nearly as good as I expected it to be. The finish was also pretty lame. I guess for a show that was this great, there was bound to be a down point, and this was that for me.
PAC isn’t interested in facing Darby Allin again, but Allin has other ideas…
Renee Paquette is backstage with PAC, who tells Renee he’s already beaten Allin twice and has no interest in facing him again. Darby Allin comes in and demands another match, but PAC refuses. When PAC turns his back, Allin attacks him with a fire extinguisher and puts his leg in a door, threatening to smash it if he doesn’t get his match. PAC reluctantly agrees, and Allin leaves as the rest of the Death Riders arrive.
Lights Out Match: Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. The Opps
- The finish of the match saw Hangman Page toss HOOK over the top rope with a chain around his neck to hang him until he tapped out.
Winners: Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland
Grade: A
Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page celebrate their win as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.
AEW Dynamite Review:
One match aside, I really loved tonight’s episode of Dynamite. The show delivered big time throughout the majority of the show. I’m still not sure what happened between Storm and Shafir, but that match just didn’t click for me at all.
Besides that, tonight’s Dynamite was all hits for me, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. The main event was freaking wild and really put an exclamation point on an overall fantastic show.
