AEW Talents Removed From The Roster

It appears an AEW talent is no longer with the company.

Saturday night on AEW Collision, Komander was in action, taking on Hechicero. Conspicuous by his absence was Alex Abrahantes, who is always at ringside when Komander is in action. But it appears there was a good reason for that.

This afternoon, Alex Abrahantes was removed from the All Elite Wrestling’s official roster page. The company is notorious for removing names from the roster page right after contracts expire. So it appears that either Abrahantes’ contract expired or he was released by the company.

Abrahantes joined AEW in 2019 as a member of the Spanish-speaking commentary team. He would later be paired on-screen with the likes of The Lucha Bros and Komander. Often speaking for the talents during backstage segments. He popularized the “Penta says” meme that made the rounds online in recent years.

UPDATE: In addition to Abrahantes, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has pointed out that Matt Taven and Mercedes Martinez have also been removed from the roster page. Noting that all three contracts have expired.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
