Trick Williams Signs With WWE SmackDown

Trick Williams has officially found a new home with WWE.

During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, NXT Superstar Trick Williams seemed to officially join the blue brand. The former NXT Champion confronted Sami Zayn in the ring. Williams said that Nick Aldis wanted him on SmackDown because he’s a star, and that he’s looking to become a world champion, and it won’t take him 20 years like it did Zayn.

Zayn said that Williams has yet to be humbled by anyone in his career. However, he wouldn’t mind being the first one to do so. With Williams now officially on SmackDown, he’ll also look for his first win. That could come next week, as he and Rey Fenix will clash in the ring next week, in Berlin, Germany.

Williams joined WWE in 2021 and has had a meteoric rise since then. The star is a two-time NXT Champion, former NXT North American Champion, and former TNA Champion, and has also been ranked as one of the top wrestling stars of the past year throughout his time at various promotions with WWE.

What the future holds for Trick on SmackDown is unknown as of yet, though.
