It seems every time we get to WrestleMania season, reports and rumors begin to circulate around a potential return of The Rock to WWE. But what’s really going on with The Final Boss? We now have a definitive update on his current WWE status.
Andrew Baydala took to social media today to address these rumors of a WWE return for The Rock, but clarifies that it’s for 2027, not 2026. Tweeting out:
“Before these ‘rumors’ get wild again- The Rock is NOT wrestling at this year’s #WrestleMania. The ‘big offer’ under discussion is for next year’s Mania 43 in Saudi Arabia, and there appears to be hesitation about proceeding, given that The Rock knows it would most likely be his last match,” Andrew Baydala said in a post.
As we’ve all seen, when it comes to The Rock, things can change on a dime. But for now, don’t expect to see The Final Boss on the road to WrestleMania 42 this year.
