AEW Will Finally Crown A Dynamite Diamond Ring Winner Not Named MJF

All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite Diamond Ring will officially be back on the line, and MJF won’t be competing for it.

During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash, AEW held a new battle royal for the Dynamite Diamond Ring finals next week. In the match, it was Ricochet and Bandido who came out on top, securing themselves the match for the ring. The announcement comes as a surprise, as traditionally, the ring usually involves MJF in some way.

While MJF has usually been the Dynamite Diamond Ring’s bearer, it seems like this time around, he won’t be involved. Of course, anything is possible, so MJF could still find a way to get himself into things. As for now, though, this will mark a new era for the ring in AEW.

The Dynamite Diamond Ring is an annual prize that was originally introduced in 2019. The ring was traditionally given to the winner of a “Dynamite Dozen” battle royal. After the battle royal, a singles match to determine the ring bearer would happen.

MJF had previously won the ring in every single year of its existence, including last year, when he beat Adam Cole for it at Worlds End.
