Alexa Bliss comments on her relationship with her husband’s ex.
In April 2022, WWE star Alexa Bliss and musician Ryan Cabrera officially tied the knot with each other. Years before that, Cabrera dated fellow singer Ashlee Simpson, with her even appearing in Cabrera’s music video for “On the Way Down.”
Fast forward to 2025, and Cabrera and Simpson are said to still be friendly with one another. According to Cabrera, Simpson has even won over Bliss.
“My wife [Alexa Bliss] loves her,” Cabrera told PEOPLE, revealing that Simpson and her current husband, Evan Ross, also attended their 2022 wedding. “I still pop by and see her mom at the showroom and they have presents for Hendrix, our daughter. Everybody just roots for each other.”
“We have such a great history and nobody has anything bad to say about each other because we’re all just happy that everybody’s happy,” he continued. “Everyone’s got a beautiful family now. We’ve all grown up and get to see everybody thriving, and we love that.”
Bliss later confirmed that she is indeed a fan of Simpson’s, writing, “I sure do! She’s the sweetest.”
In the music world, Simpson is perhaps best known for her single “Pieces of Me,” which climbed the charts in 2004, the same year she and Cabrera dated. From 2004 until 2005, Simpson also starred in The Ashlee Simpson Show, a reality television show revolving around her life.
Cabrera and Bliss welcomed a daughter into the world in November 2023. Bliss returned to in-ring action in February 2025 as a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
