Seth Rollins believes Becky Lynch’s current heel run will eventually turn her back into a fan favorite because of how good she is in the role.
Becky Lynch returned earlier this year at WrestleMania 41, where she won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Lyra Valkyria. However, they lost the titles just days later to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, which led to Lynch turning heel on Valkyria.
Since then, Lynch has been on a strong run as a villain. She has feuded with Lyra Valkyria, Bayley, Nikki Bella and AJ Lee, while also earning praise for her recent work with Maxxine Dupri. Even John Cena complimented her performances on her vlog.
While appearing on the Games With Names podcast, Seth Rollins spoke highly of his wife’s heel character and explained why he thinks it won’t last forever. He said, “She’s an incredible heel. I think people think of her as The Man, big babyface run, 2019, WrestleMania main event, all that, but she is an incredible heel. She is awesome.”
Seth Rollins claims Becky Lynch’s heel work was too good to ignore
Seth Rollins also pointed to Becky Lynch’s previous heel run from 2021-22 as Big Time Becks, where her role helped elevate Bianca Belair to superstardom. “She was awesome in her first heel run as Big Time Becks where, the main purpose of her being a heel was to help Bianca Belair reach superstardom at WrestleMania which she did, and now what she’s doing with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, her heel work is off the charts.”
He then revealed he has told Lynch that her success as a heel will naturally push her back into a babyface role. “I told her a million times you’re gonna be a babyface out of this, because you’re too good at it, and nobody else is doing what you’re doing.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
