WWE has dropped new merchandise based on a viral internet meme for an NXT Superstar.
WWE Shop has released two new t-shirts and a tank top for NXT Superstar Je’Von Evans, based on the viral 6-7 meme, ranging from $29.99 to $39.99.
The 6-7 meme is an inside joke among Gen Alpha kids (ages 8-13), which began with the 2024 song “Doot Doot (6 7)” by rapper Skrilla. People shout 6-7 in high-pitched voices while shaking their open hands up and down.
Je’Von Evans has been making strides in NXT over the past few months, and the new merchandise for him shows that WWE sees potential in The Young OG.
However, fans were quick to point out that former NXT Champion and current SmackDown star Carmelo Hayes has been using the 6-7 taunt regularly on WWE television, expressing their surprise over the company choosing Evans over him for the merchandise.
Je’Von Evans Will Compete At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
John Cena will compete in his retirement match against Gunther at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event tomorrow. Leading up to the event, Cena announced that the show would also feature top main roster stars having exhibition matches against up-and-coming talent.
NXT’s Je’Von Evans will team up with TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater at the event to take on World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. While WWE had announced that Styles and Lee would defend the championship, it appears plans have changed, as the updated match description doesn’t mention it as a title match.
The event will also feature Bayley taking on Sol Ruca and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes facing NXT Champion Oba Femi.
